Cekur-Cekur Ah...Cekak-Cekak Ih...

Bukan senang nak bertapak.

Salah seorang ajak saya sparring - saja cuba-cuba katanya. Saya cakap nanti saya naik tukar seluar martial arts sekejap - bimbang koyak. Saya pakai baju melayu putih dan seluar kerja warna hitam. Sayang baju melayu putih, saya tanggal baju sambil tunjuk body gedeber. Pakai body protector silat (berat).

Bukan semua pengamal silat begitu.

Cerita orang silat cakap besar belakang ni tak habis.

I rest my finger first, lets throw the Jew down the well....

"Buat Pada Nak Kondengnya Taekwon-Do Kita.........."

Throw The Jew Down The Well !

In my country there is problem,

And that problem is transport.
It take very very long,
Because Kazakhstan is big.

Throw transport down the well,
So my country can be free.
We must make travel easy,
Then we have big party!

In my country there is problem,
And that problem is the Jew.
They take everybody's money,
They never give it back.

Throw the Jew down the well,
So my country can be free.
You must grab him by his horns,
Then we have big party.

If you see the Jew coming,
You must be careful of his teeth.
You must grab him by his money,
And I tell you what to do...

Everybody!

Throw the Jew down the well
So my country can be free
You must grab him by his horns
Then we have big party

Throw the Jew down the well
So my country can be free
You must grab him by his horns
Then we have big party!

Hacker Pengacau Laman

"Perjuangang korok kering mung, cara mu saloh."

Laman taekwon-do rakan saya seperti Dins Taekwon-Do Academy pun pernah kena hack dengan kandungan porno. Meletup nama DTA tersohor diseluruh penggemar taekwon-do - agaknya lah.

So macam mana nak buat kalau perkara ini terjadi.

Syabas moderator-moderator Forum MGTF.

Tajuk: CHILDREN IN THE DOJANG by Rachel David

I have been inspired to write up a set of guidelines as to how a child relates to members of a martial arts community. It’s a general thing I wish that all parents would be able to see before sending their children off to train. I’ve seen a lot of good kids enter our community, but after some bad kids (and parents) started entering the scene, some groups became skeptical of allowing children to train. I don’t think that the situation is nearly as bad as some believe, but I think that we do need to talk to children and their parents before they begin training.

Martial Arts for Children

As a high belt in a Martial Arts school, I’ve seen people come and go and while each person is individual, a fact remains: attitudes stay the same. Children and their parents approach the Martial Arts with certain attitudes – for better or for worse – and I think it helps to have a little idea of what roles children should play in the dojang.

How early can a child start?

It’s a tough question that requires parents to take an objective look at their children. While they may be ahead of their age, are they prepared to shoulder the responsibility of being a member? I generally say that school-aged children are about as young as a child should be, but if your child shows great maturity and understanding, then use your best discretion. The most important thing is to make sure that your child understands the work that’s involved in training. Historical facts, simple Korean words, patterns, the list goes on – if s/he won’t be discouraged by all that, it might be time to enroll!

Attitude

Attitude is the biggest downfall in dojangs today. Parents become angry about testing procedures and children take their new-found talents to the playground. I’m going to have to be a bit stern about this, but that’s only because a few bad apples have gone and ruined the bunch. Here are a few things to remember:

1. We are not a behavior counseling center – our schools do instill a sense of discipline, but it only works if the student is willing to cooperate. It’s the parents’ responsibility to deal with a sassy mouth at home and an unruly child is bad for both our community and the obedient children.

2. The Martial Arts are for defense – we are given an unfair advantage in any fight and we find it irresponsible to run around boasting. I’ve met “black belts” outside my school who thought that they were better than everyone; they clearly missed the boat. Please talk to your children about time and place: the time for martial arts is during practice and the place is the dojang or practicing at home.

3. You are not the exception to the rule – instructors are very understanding of problems. We all have physical difficulties (my back prevents me from many things!). However, we can’t jeopardize the rest of our community. For example, a child acting in a fit of rage in our dojang is dangerous. Allowing a child to test for rank when he isn’t up to his best ability demeans the other students. We just want to keep things fair.

The Benefits

I’m sorry for all the previous negativity, but it was the nitty-gritty that we should cover first. Let’s switch to something a bit more positive: the benefits of training.

Allowing a young one to train reaps huge benefits, providing that the child is ready. They have a sense of community early on and I find that they end up gaining maturity. In fact, I met a 13 year old black belt (I was 19 and a red belt) who was a kind and understanding teacher. He took his leadership responsibilities seriously and helped me accomplish a number of things.

I’ve also found that the children are the most welcoming members. They will greet new members with a smile and a helping hand. They respect everyone – a quality which lacks in all people (not just children) these days. Children are not limited by their ages in the dojang: they’re just as expert as the rest of us.

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is that no one knows a child better than the parent. When you think the child is ready, start investigating schools. It’s tough going at first, but after plugging away, a child could develop a love for this life-long sport.

ISU PPSMI

Disiar dengan kebenaran saudara Khairul Ariffin Mohd Munir, my college-mate - a taekwondoist - born to be leader...

Jawapan Balas Dalam The Nut Graph:
http://www.thenutgraph.com/muslim-ngos-split-over-english ;

Assalammualaikum dan salam sejahtera;

Kaedah pelajar diajar masih tiada perubahan.
Kita mengubat sesuatu tanpa tahu apa penyakitnya. Tanpa tahu apa puncanya.

Petai the "Stink Beans"

Herbs & Cures
Sharing an email from friend of mine:-

Wiki:-
Parkia speciosa (petai, bitter bean, sataw, twisted cluster bean, yongchaa, yongchaak, zawngtah or stink bean), is a plant of the genus ParkiaFabaceae. It bears long, flat edible beans with bright green seeds the size and shape of plump almonds which have a rather peculiar smell, characterised by some as being similar to that added to methane gas.

ADVICE FROM UKM MEDICAL DOCTOR

Little did you know ...... after reading THIS, you'll NEVER look at petai in the same way again!

Petai
contains three natural sugars -sucrose, fructose and glucose. Combined with fiber, petai gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two servings of petai provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute wor kout. No wonder petai is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way petai can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:

According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating petai. This is because petai contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS(premenstrual syndrome):

Forget the pills - eat petai. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anaemia:

High in iron, petai can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anaemia.

Blood Pressure:

This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the petai industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power :

200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating petai at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
Understand that bananas contain lot of potassium too so eat more banana. Just look at those monkeys, they are really active, alert, smart and cunny too!!

Constipation:

High in fiber, including petai in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a petai milkshake, sweetened with honey. The petai calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:
Petai has a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating petai for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness
: Snacking on petai between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites
: Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of the petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves:
Petai is high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight:
Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report
concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers:
Petai is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control
: Many other cultures see petai as a 'cooling' fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Holland, for example, pregnant women eat petai to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affecti ve Disorder (SAD) :
Petai can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer, tryptophan.

Smoking:
Petai can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium petai snack.

Strokes:
According to research in 'The New Engla nd Journal of Medicine, ' eating petai as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%'.

Warts:
Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of petai and place it on the wart. Carefully hold the petai in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, as you can see, petai really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A Petai a day keeps the doctor away'.

Note to my friend esp.Kepet : "Rugi la mu dok makang sayur. Tapi aku tahu mu akan cuba blender petai ni buat air, anggaplah ia air tebu."
